International Students FAQ
DO I NEED A STUDENT VISA TO STUDY AT NZSFW?
If you are an international student enrolling in a programme lasting more than 12 weeks, you will generally need a student visa. For short courses of less than 12 weeks, you may be able to study on a visitor visa or another valid visa. Visa requirements depend on your circumstances, so we recommend checking the Immigration New Zealand website.

Generally, Level 3 and 4 certificate programmes require IELTS 5.5, with no band score below 5.0, while Level 5 and 6 programmes require IELTS 6.0, with no band score below 5.5. WHERE CAN I LIVE IN AUCKLAND?
Auckland offers a range of accommodation options, including shared apartments, private rentals and homestays. HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS TAKE?
The application process varies depending on your programme, the completeness of your documents and your visa requirements. Once we receive your completed application and supporting documents, we will arrange a pre-enrolment interview. We recommend applying at least three to four months before your intended start date to allow sufficient time for enrolment and visa processing.

- Relevant certificates or transcripts from previous studies
Additional documents may be required depending on your chosen programme and individual circumstances.
