Court of Master Sommeliers in Auckland

Congratulations to all the candidates for the Court of Master Sommeliers certification training and exams that were held at the New Zealand School of Food and Wine.

Master sommelier Franck Moreau and Andres Aragon MS travelled from Sydney to host the sessions.

Over three days, candidates attended lectures, presentations on wine regions including wine making, history, vintage rating, methodology of tasting and writing specific tasting notes with conclusions on the age ability of a wine. And then tasting many classic wine styles.

Starting at 8 am each morning and not concluding until 6 pm at night, it’s been a very busy time.

For the final awards ceremony, the students at the New Zealand School of Food and Wine prepared and served a selection of delicious canapés.
