New Zealand's 50 Most Inspiring Women in Food & Drink 2024
At a lunch to celebrate New Zealand’s TOP 50 most influential & inspiring women in food & drink, Nadia Lim was awarded the title of SUPREME WOMAN IN FOOD & DRINK 2024.
Hosted at Auckland's Park Hyatt by Cuisine editor, Kelli Brett, and with a backdrop of the Viaduct Harbour, 180 guests savoured fine wines and great food as the awards were announced.
This award recognises Nadia’s authentic voice within New Zealand’s food-and-drink sector, along with her mana and wide-spread respect for what she has achieved.
Founded by Kelli Brett, editor of Cuisine magazine, Women in Food & Drink New Zealand serves as a new platform to connect women working within the diverse layers of food & drink across New Zealand with the goal to create a network to support, educate and celebrate ideas and knowledge.
Nadia commented: Back 12 years ago, I had to fumble my way through and I would definitely have benefitted from gaining advice and guidance from such a network as this.
Aroha Jakicevich of Glengarry Wines was awarded the Emerging Woman in Food and Drink 2024. Glengarry Wines was founded in 1940 and now has 18 stores around New Zealand. Aroha is the new generation now working in their dynamic family business.
Hall of Fame 2024
Annabel Langbein, a true pioneer of New Zealand’s food scene, has written and published numerous articles, cookbooks and tv shows and since the 1980s.
Fleur Sullivan from Otago has been a chef, restaurateur, and activist all her life even investing in her own boat and fishing quota to supply her restaurant in Moeraki.
Dame Alison Holst, whose cookbooks over 70 years, made cooking accessible and affordable to many home cooks. You can learn more about Alison's legacy here in a recent article by the Spinoff.
